SIMS Academy of Martial Arts International Celebrates Successful Completion of 9-Month Self-Defense Training Program

MM. VELLI STADIUM Mumbra, Maharashtra, India – [on 11th day of May 2025] – SIMS Academy of Martial Arts International, founded and owned by HRH. AMB. PROF. SGM Dr. Mohammed Qasim Shaikh, proudly announces the successful completion of its intensive 9-month self-defense training program.

The comprehensive course, meticulously designed to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical application, comprised three months of rigorous martial arts training followed by six months of invaluable hands-on internship experience. This unique structure ensures graduates are well-equipped with the skills and confidence necessary for real-world self-defense scenarios and fosters a deep sense of self-discipline.

Among the dedicated students who successfully navigated this challenging program with remarkable commitment and perseverance are Mohammed Faraz Shaikh and Iqra I. Ahmed Choudhary. Their journey exemplifies growth, resilience, and a continuous pursuit of excellence in martial arts.

To commemorate this significant achievement, SIMS Academy of Martial Arts International hosted a Certificate Distribution Ceremony today. Mumbra, February 26, 2025: Rosary Convent High School and Junior College, Mumbra, successfully organized a Teacher Orientation Program aimed at promoting academic excellence, strengthening discipline, and contributing to the overall development of the institution. Teachers and staff from Rosary Pre-Primary, Primary, High School, Junior College, and Rosary Public School actively participated in the event.

Presiding Dignitaries and Program Highlights

The program was presided over by Mr. Seemab Usmani (Chairman, SSU Educational Trust), while Principal Mr. Shadab Ahmed Shamim Usmani provided insightful guidance to the teachers. The event was efficiently hosted by Ms. Munira Filewala.

The session commenced with an inspiring welcome address by Mr. Seemab Usmani, who emphasized the pivotal role of educators in enhancing the quality of education and their invaluable contribution to student development.

Following this, Mr. Shadab Ahmed Shamim Usmani conducted a detailed orientation session focusing on improving academic performance, adopting innovative teaching methodologies, and ensuring student engagement. He stressed the importance of achieving a 100% board examination result, maintaining discipline, and creating a more effective teaching environment.

During the session, supervisors from different academic sections shared progress updates, challenges, and strategies for improvement:

The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Ruhi Parveen, who expressed appreciation for the efforts of all teachers, supervisors, and the management team. Rosary Convent High School & Junior College and Rosary Public School, Mumbra, recently conducted a two-day Medical First Aid Awareness Camp aimed at equipping students and staff with crucial life-saving skills. The camp was led by the renowned medical expert Dr. Mohammed Naseem, who emphasized the importance of immediate and effective response during medical emergencies.

Day 1: Training for Students

On January 9, 2025, an engaging session was held for students where they learned essential techniques. such as Artificial Respiration, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Emergency First Aid. Dr. Naseem provided practical demonstrations and explained the significance of prompt action during emergencies. The students actively participated in hands-on training, practicing techniques with enthusiasm and gaining confidence in their ability to respond to critical situations.

Day 2: Training for Staff

The second day of the camp, held on January 11, 2025, was dedicated to training the school staff. The session, which began at 11:30 AM, focused on ensuring that every staff member was well-prepared to handle emergencies. The staff appreciated the detailed demonstrations and actively practiced the techniques under expert supervision.

Laturians Claim First Place in Team Championship

The Latur team, led by coaches Chandrakant Sir and Ramesh Sir, emerged victorious, clinching the coveted 1st Team Championship trophy. Their hard work and exceptional skills shone brightly throughout the competition.

Selection Criteria, Examination & Syllabus:

In line with the Hon’ble High Court judgment dated 31.05.2024 in LPA No. 1037/2023, the weightage of socio-economic marks (2.5%) has been removed. The examination pattern is as follows:

Examination Format: 

Offline (OMR-based) written examination for Group-C posts.

Question Paper: 

Bilingual (English & Hindi), with all questions being compulsory.

Number of Question 

100 questions, each carrying a weightage of 0.975 marks.

Negative Marking:

 No negative marking for wrong answers.

Unattempted Questions:

 0.975 marks will be deducted for each unattempted question.

Extra Time: Additional five minutes will be given to mark the fifth option if the candidate does not know the answer.

Total Time: 

105 minutes (including the extra five minutes).
