Arvind Kejriwal Arrest News LIVE: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been remanded to the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for six days till March 28. This was despite the Enforcement Directorate seeking a 10-day remand of Kejriwal. The Delhi CM was arrested in connection with a money laundering case linked to the Delhi government's Excise Policy. He was presented before a Delhi court on Friday. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders will gherao Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence on March 26 to protest against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's arrest, said AAP leader Gopal Rai. Meanwhile, AAP leaders have protested the arrest. Several AAP leaders were detailed on Friday.

Tornado-Hit US Town "Like A War Zone", Say Volunteers

Rolling Fork, United States: Outside, houses are torn open and trees lie with their roots in the air. Inside, stretchers are lined up in front of tables overflowing with food. In Rolling Fork, Mississippi, where a tornado caused chaos and death, volunteers are pouring in from surrounding towns to help. The American Red Cross moved into a National Guard building less than 24 hours after the tornado struck Friday night, killing at least 25 people in the community of 2,000. An ambulance is parked at the entrance of a room being used as an infirmary and, through the back door, boxes full of cereal bars and baby diapers keep arriving. "We're trying to give people a place to stay overnight with food and medical support so they can just have a place to lay their heads, because they've lost everything," said John Brown, a Red Cross official for Alabama and Mississippi. The city is "like a war zone," he said. "It looks like a bomb went off." Whether or not residents choose to stay in the town center, they will at least have access to information and food and regain some strength, Brown said. Anna Krisuta, 43, and her 16-year-old son Alvaro Llecha sit in the shelter, one on a stretcher, the other on a chair, electric blue energy drinks in front of them. Their house is "in pieces," Anna Krisuta says, putting on a brave smile. Both pull out their cell phones to show the extent of the damage, captured on video. The pair are not sure whether they will spend the night at the center. Maybe they'd prefer to sleep in the car, Alvaro said, giving his mother a hesitant look. The teenager said he survived only by hiding in the bathroom, which he considered was the safest room in their house. "I thought I was going to die," he said, recounting the strong wind "rushing in through the bottom of the door." Lauren Hoda travelled 70 miles (110 kilometres) from Vicksburg to Rolling Fork to volunteer. She described the mixture of sadness, grief and anger she feels at the "injustice" inflicted on the residents. "When I woke up this morning, I wanted to cry for the people of this town because I don't think they had much time before (the tornado) came. There were people eating in restaurants, families in bed," said the 28-year-old, who also experienced Hurricane Katrina in 2005. She spent her Saturday night at Rolling Fork bringing donations from collection points: water, food, canned goods, diapers, wipes, medicine, deodorant, and toothpaste. Jon Gebhardt, an assistant professor of military science at the University of Mississippi, travelled three hours to Rolling Fork, arriving in the middle of the night to help set up the center. "I cried quite a bit today," he said. "But this morning, when I woke up and saw the generosity and ability of this community to come together at such a difficult time, (I felt) lucky to be in Mississippi." He said he was confident in the resilience of the Mississippi Delta. "Will this community rebuild for the better and become a better version of itself in the next few years? Yes, I think so."

Woman Who Left AirPods On Plane Tracked Them Down To Airport Worker's Home

A woman recently tracked down her lost Apple AirPods to an airport worker's home two weeks after she first left them behind on a plane. Speaking to CNN, Alisabeth Hayden said she was flying with United Airlines from Tokyo, where she had been visiting her husband, to Seattle earlier this month. Shortly after getting off the plane on a layover at San Francisco International Airport, she realised she had left her jacket behind and her headphones too. "I realized before I was even off the plane," Ms Hayden said, as per the outlet. "I was the third from last off the plane, so I asked the flight attendant if I could go and get it. He said no - I was required by federal law to get off the plane and stand beside it, where the strollers are brought to. I was tired, he said he'd bring it to me, I said OK," she added. The flight attendant indeed bring the jacket to her, following which she boarded her next flight to Seattle. "A child was screaming next to me and I thought, 'At least I have my AirPods,'" she recalled. However, she said that when she reached for her jacket, she realised her AirPods were gone. The plane had already taken off to Seattle, but Ms Hayden used inflight WiFi to track the earphones using the "Find My" app, which tracks Apple devices. The headphones were showing at a cargo terminal at SFO, before moving to different terminals and then down Highway 101. The earplugs ended up at what appeared to be a residential address in the Bay Area and stayed put there for three days. Ms Hayden marked her headphones as "lost" on her app, pinging an alert and her number to the person who had them. She told the outlet that she enlisted the help of a detective at the San Mateo police force who was working at SFO. He matched the address the AirPods were pinging from to an airport contractor working to load food onto aircraft. When questioned by the cops, the airport worker said the headphones had been given to him by a cleaner, who denied knowledge of the situation. When they were returned to Hayden 12 days later, she said the AirPods looked like they'd been stomped on. She told the outlet that United Airlines gave her $271 and 5,000 air miles after complaining about the condition of the headphones. The airlines also confirmed that the worker was employed by a vendor and not the airline. The matter is now being handled by the San Francisco Airport Police Department, which plans to submit the case to the San Mateo District Attorney's office.

Mann Ki Baat: ''Nari Shakti' playing significant role in emerging Indian power', says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (Today, March 26, 2023) addressed the 99th edition of 'Mann Ki Baat.' This is the third time PM Modi addressing the monthly radio programme this year. The 99th edition of 'Mann Ki Baat' aired at 11 AM today. PM Modi's radio programmed was commenced on the occasion of Vijayadashami on October 3, 2014. The programme has completed its 98th edition and will complete its 100th edition on April 30. PM Modi in his radio programmes asked the public for their suggestion for the 100th edition. He said that he is eager to know the suggestion and thoughts of the public for the 100th episode. Union Minister Anurag Thakur and Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' in Delhi and Himmatnagar respectively. PM Modi asserted that the potential of India is emerging from a new perspective and women are playing a significant role in it. Giving an example he applauded Surekha Yadav who is Asia's first female loco pilot and set another record as recently she became the first woman loco pilot of the Vande Bharat Express train. 'Women's power is playing a significant role in emerging Indian power. In Nagaland, for the first time in 75 years, two women legislators have reached the Vidhan Sabha through their victory. India has also deployed a womenonly platoon in peacekeeping under a UN mission. Women are showing power in all fields. Mann ki Baat' is a monthly address, aired on All India Radio on the last Sunday of every month, through which Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacts with countrymen. 2 Women Murdered In Separate Incidents In Maharashtra's Nagpur, 2 Arrested

Nagpur: Two women were murdered in separate incidents in Nagpur city of Maharashtra, following which two accused were arrested, police said on Saturday. In Hingna police station area, a 30-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her paramour who raped her in a forest area before smashing her head with a boulder on Thursday on suspicion that she was having an affair with another man, the official said. In another incident, a woman was allegedly murdered by her live-in partner in Hudkeshwar area on Saturday afternoon. Police said the 35-year-old man allegedly smothered her using a pillow at their house. He called an auto-rickshaw driver stating that his wife was unwell.
